The Government Service Insurance System has released over ₱27.29 billion in loans to more than 463,600 active government employees under its Ginhawa Go program, supporting efforts to give Filipinos easier access to affordable financing.
Running from October 2024 to July 2026, the scheme was relaunched in February 2026 to replace the earlier Ginhawa Lite initiative. Eligible workers can borrow between ₱1,000 and ₱50,000 at six percent annual interest, payable over 30 days to 24 months.
Applications and releases are handled through the GSIS Touch app, with free loan protection insurance included. Officials said the program helps members avoid high-risk informal lenders, and applications are also accepted at all GSIS branches nationwide.
