The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) conducted a briefing on the country’s foreign exchange (FX) regulations on July 6, 2026. The activity forms part of the central bank’s efforts to promote sound market practices and strengthen compliance with existing FX guidelines.
A total of 260 representatives from the public and private sectors attended the forum. BSP officials discussed the full scope of the BSP’s FX regulatory framework, including newly released updates covering FX derivatives and interest rate swaps. The team also shared insights on recent market movements and the country’s overall economic outlook.
This briefing is one in a series of nationwide information campaigns on FX policies being carried out by the BSP. Through regular engagement with stakeholders, the central bank aims to ensure its foreign exchange policies remain responsive and transparent.
