Allianz PNB Life (AZPNBL) nearly doubled new business in the first half of 2026, lifting the insurer to third place in the Philippine life insurance industry as it marked its 10th year of operations.
AZPNBL recorded P4.59 billion in consolidated New Business Annual Premium Equivalent (NBAPE), up 98 percent from a year earlier, based on Insurance Commission data. NBAPE is a key measure of new business sales in the life insurance industry.
The insurer attributed the strong performance partly to its bancassurance partnership with Philippine National Bank (PNB), which gives it access to the bank’s nationwide branch network.
AZPNBL has expanded its distribution force to nearly 500 Financial Solutions Specialists deployed across PNB branches, allowing the insurer to reach more customers and offer insurance and wealth-building products closer to where they bank.
“Our strong first-half performance and continued customer growth are proof that our purpose continues to resonate,” AZPNBL President and Chief Executive Officer Joe Gross said.
Gross said the insurer intends to sustain its momentum by broadening its reach, developing simple and affordable products, improving customer experience, and strengthening its distribution capabilities.
The company recently introduced Allianz Secure Save, an insurance and savings product combining life insurance protection with professionally managed investments.
The product offers five- and 10-year premium payment options and targets customers building funds for education, retirement, and other long-term financial goals.
AZPNBL said the product is part of its effort to expand access to solutions that combine protection and wealth accumulation as Filipinos become more focused on long-term financial planning.
The insurer’s first-half performance comes as competition intensifies among Philippine life insurers seeking to expand distribution and capture growing demand for protection and investment-linked financial products.
For AZPNBL, the results provide a strong start to its second decade, with bancassurance remaining a key engine of customer acquisition and distribution.
The company said it will continue focusing on financial protection, accessibility, and long-term customer relationships as it builds on its position in the Philippine insurance market.
