College students from key universities across Metro Manila gained valuable insights into the history of Philippine money and the work of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) through recent “Student Tours” held at the BSP Hub along Roxas Boulevard.
Conducted on August 25, August 27, and September 2, the learning activity brought together learners from Ateneo de Manila University, Centro Escolar University, Colegio de San Juan de Letran, De La Salle University, Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, Philippine State College of Aeronautics, University of Makati, University of the Philippines, and University of Santo Tomas.
As part of the tour, students traced the evolution of Philippine currency at the BSP Money Museum and explored reference materials at the BSP Library. They also deepened their understanding of the central bank’s mandates through the 33rd Anniversary Multimedia Exhibit and short educational lectures held at the hub’s auditorium.
These public education facilities remain accessible to all members of the public: the Money Museum is open Mondays to Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., while the BSP Library and multimedia exhibit are open the same days from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The special exhibit will run until September 16, 2026.
