NephroPlus expands PH dialysis network to 53 clinics

NephroPlus Philippines has expanded its dialysis network to 53 clinics nationwide as it seeks to broaden access to kidney care while strengthening prevention and early-detection programs in local communities.

The local arm of Asia-based dialysis network NephroPlus said its expansion is supported by standardized clinical practices, digital innovation and continuous workforce training aligned with Philippine and international standards of care.

“Crossing 50 clinics is an important milestone for NephroPlus Philippines, but growth in healthcare should not only be measured by the number of clinics we open. It should also be reflected in the impact we create in the communities we serve,” NephroPlus Philippines Country Head Gowtham Arumugam said.

Beyond expanding its dialysis footprint, the company said it is stepping up kidney health advocacy through awareness, prevention and early detection initiatives.

NephroPlus recently conducted a kidney health medical mission for the Mangyan Indigenous Community in Sitio Lagonglong, Baco, Oriental Mindoro, in partnership with the municipal government.

Around 265 residents received kidney disease prevention information, basic health screenings and individual counseling.

The medical team conducted blood pressure, blood sugar and creatinine tests to help identify potential kidney health concerns, while participants requiring further evaluation were referred for follow-up care.

Nephrologists and dietitians also provided information on kidney disease risk factors, early detection, treatment options, nutrition and healthier lifestyles.

“Through initiatives like this, we hope to bring kidney health awareness closer to communities while continuing to expand access to quality dialysis care across the Philippines,” Arumugam said.
