Ayala Land Hospitality is strengthening its position in the Philippine luxury hotel market after four of its properties earned MICHELIN Key distinctions in the 2026 MICHELIN Guide hotel selection, spanning resort destinations in Palawan and business and lifestyle hubs in Makati.
Lagen Island in El Nido and Raffles Makati secured Two MICHELIN Keys, the highest distinction awarded to Philippine properties in this year’s selection. Pangulasian Island and Fairmont Makati received One MICHELIN Key each.
The recognition gives Ayala Land Hospitality four MICHELIN Key properties, highlighting a portfolio strategy that combines nature-based resorts with internationally branded luxury hotels.
The MICHELIN Key evaluates hotels based on criteria including architecture and design, service, individuality, value for money and the property’s connection to its destination. One Key represents a “very special stay,” while Two Keys recognize an “exceptional stay.”
“We are deeply honored to have four of our properties recognized by the MICHELIN Guide,” Ayala Land Hospitality Chief Operating Officer Gustavo Morales said.
The recognition also comes as the group continues to invest in the positioning of its individual properties. Lagen Island recently completed a year-long transformation that refreshed its spaces and guest experiences while placing greater emphasis on its natural setting and Filipino craftsmanship.
Pangulasian Island, meanwhile, was cited for its nature-focused luxury and personalized service, reinforcing El Nido’s appeal as a destination for high-end tourism.
In Makati, the MICHELIN Keys for Raffles and Fairmont highlight Ayala Land Hospitality’s partnerships with global hotel brands. The properties form part of Makati’s expanding business, lifestyle and luxury hospitality ecosystem.
The four distinctions provide Ayala Land Hospitality an international benchmark for its growing hotel portfolio while putting both Palawan’s resort market and Makati’s urban luxury segment on the global hospitality map.
