Megawide to turn over affordable housing units under 4PH program

Megawide Dreamrise Residences Inc., an arm of listed firm Megawide Construction Corp., will turn over 500 housing units in Dasmariñas, Cavite, before the end of 2026, bringing much-needed affordable homes closer to many low-income Filipino families. These units form part of the 7,410 the company aims to complete under the government’s Expanded Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino, or 4PH Program, which pushes for modern, efficient socialized housing built with advanced construction methods.

The milestone follows Thursday’s simultaneous topping-off of Towers C and D at Jab Residences, just seven months after work on the building’s foundation began in February 2026—showing how faster, modern building techniques help deliver homes sooner. Megawide Dreamrise is a joint effort between Megawide and the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development, backed by state financing body Pag-IBIG Fund, to make decent housing within reach of those who need it most.

Company chairman Edgar Saavedra called the progress a key step for the country and its people, noting the program aims to provide first-world quality homes that remain affordable and accessible. He welcomed growing private-sector participation to speed up delivery and said the group has expanded its commitment: originally pledging 12,000 units, it will now build an additional 12,000 under the program. Each unit is priced from P1.3 million to P1.5 million, designed to fit the budgets of low- and middle-income households who have long struggled to secure safe, permanent shelter.

Jab Residences is one of two Megawide Dreamrise projects in Dasmariñas, alongside Jenara Residences. Together they will deliver 7,143 units over the next two years, part of a broader goal to build 100,000 socialized homes under 4PH within five to seven years. Completing these units means more families will move from informal settlements or overcrowded spaces into proper, secure communities—with steady housing that supports better health, education, and livelihood opportunities for millions of Filipinos.
