A public scoping meeting is scheduled for October 15, 2026 for the ₱250–300 million broiler breeder farm expansion in Barangay Buenavista, led by DENR-EMB and proponent Charoen Pokphand Foods Philippines Corp. (CPFPC).
Taking over the site from Biglift Farms Corp., CPFPC will raise capacity from 80,000 to 120,000 birds, adding four tunnel-ventilated buildings plus feed silos, an egg room, warehouse and other facilities.
The project boosts food security, creates 40–70 jobs during construction and around 53 regular positions in operation, and helps preserve agricultural land. Modern farming technology will be used to minimize environmental impact. Construction and operations are targeted to start next year.
