Globe Platinum has reimagined the traditional crowded iPhone launch experience, rolling out intimate, simultaneous midnight unboxing events across Manila, Cebu, and Davao ahead of the nationwide iPhone 18 release. Breaking away from long queues and busy storefronts, the special offering gives the telco’s premium subscribers early access to the latest iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max models without compromising on comfort, privacy, or convenience.
Held at distinguished local restaurants owned and operated by fellow Globe Platinum members, the three-city gatherings blended exclusive device handovers with fine dining and community connection. In Manila, guests gathered at Makati’s TAGLISH Seafood Steakhouse by Michelin-starred chef Frances Tariga; the Cebu event took place at The Pig & Palm by acclaimed chef Jason Atherton; while Davao attendees were welcomed at Mori & Mill by business leader Anthony Ang. The concept, dubbed “Platinum for Platinum,” brought subscribers together with local leaders and innovators, turning a product pickup into a shared celebration of quality and entrepreneurship.
Before counting down to the official release and unboxing their new devices, guests enjoyed curated dining experiences, with units also accessible through Globe’s flexible iPhone Forever annual upgrade program. Mark Pasaylo, Head of Globe Platinum Business, noted the shift in what premium customers value most. “Being first should not mean having to compromise their time or experience,” Pasaylo said. “We created an experience that reflects their lifestyle—intimate, seamless, and thoughtfully curated.”
The events also highlighted Globe’s long-standing partnership with Apple, dating back to the pioneering local launch of the iPhone 3G in 2008. For the company, the iPhone 18 launch marked more than a new device introduction—it underscored how premium service now means delivering not just the latest technology, but an experience that matches its value.
