Seven Filipino workers were injured in attacks across Saudi Arabia, with three in critical condition, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) confirmed Monday, October 19.
The DFA said it was coordinating with the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) and Saudi authorities to ensure the injured Filipinos receive medical treatment and necessary assistance.
The Philippine government also extended condolences to the families of those killed in the attacks and wished the injured a speedy recovery.

“These attacks are a grave threat to regional peace and stability,” the DFA said, urging all parties to halt the fighting and pursue a peaceful resolution through dialogue and diplomacy.
The department reaffirmed the Philippines’ support for Saudi Arabia in protecting its citizens and residents, including nearly one million Filipinos living and working in the Kingdom.
Filipinos in Saudi Arabia were advised to follow instructions from local authorities and stay in contact with the Philippine Embassy and Consulate General for assistance and security updates.
Authorities have yet to disclose the identities of the injured workers or the specific locations where they were wounded. (Marjohara Tucay)
