BDO Foundation has been recognized by the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) with the Golden Flame of Partnership Award, the first time this honor has ever been given. The award was presented by then-AFP Chief of Staff Gen. Romeo Brawner Jr. during a ceremony at Camp Aguinaldo, marking the foundation’s successful partnership with the AFP and Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP).
Since launching in 2019, the program has reached over 73,000 military personnel across the Army, Air Force, and Navy as of December 2025. It has integrated financial education into regular AFP training through custom modules, a trainer’s manual, training workshops, and educational videos, covering budgeting, saving, investing, debt management, scam prevention, and retirement planning.
The recognition highlights the program’s role in improving financial literacy and readiness among service members, supporting both BSP’s financial inclusion goals and the AFP’s broader transformation efforts to build a stronger, more capable armed forces.
