Century Pacific Food Inc. and global brand Vita Coco are donating a combined 2 million quality coconut seedlings to Philippine smallholder farmers over the next five years. Century Pacific’s Coco Mama brand will provide 1 million seedlings, with the other 1 million coming through its partnership with Vita Coco.
Around 20 percent of the country’s coconut trees are already old, causing harvests to drop. Many smallholder farmers also lack the means to renew their crops. This program will replace aging trees, lift farm output, and build a stronger, more sustainable coconut industry. It will help secure supply while improving livelihoods in farming communities.
The two companies also aim to plant up to 10 million coconut trees globally by 2030. Latest figures show the Philippines produced nearly 14.51 million metric tons of coconuts in 2025, slightly higher than the year before — making this initiative timely for one of the nation’s key agricultural sectors.
