Globe is growing its 5G network in Zamboanga City, bringing faster and more reliable service to more Zamboangueños. The company now operates over 200 sites across the city, with 40 more set to go online soon. Nearly half its local network is already 5G-ready, covering about 99% of people within those zones.
This expansion means smoother video calls, quicker downloads, and steady access to apps and online tools—for work, school, business, and daily life. Students can learn without interruption, businesses can operate more efficiently, and families stay reliably connected. Globe’s Jowin Marquez said the upgrades match how residents now depend on mobile connectivity for nearly everything they do. Zamboanga City Mayor Hon. Khymer Adan Olaso welcomed the move, noting better digital access supports the city’s continued growth. Globe will also host on-ground events so residents can try 5G firsthand and learn more about what the improved network offers.
