Meralco earns 4th consecutive Golden Arrow recognition for strong corporate governance

Manuel V. Pangilinan-led Manila Electric Company (Meralco) has once again secured the prestigious Four Golden Arrow award, marking another milestone in its commitment to upholding high standards of corporate governance.

The recognition was formally received by the company’s Lead Independent Director and Nomination and Governance Committee Chairperson Dr. Lydia B. Echauz during the 2026 Golden Arrow Awards ceremony held recently at the Makati Shangri-La Hotel.

Organized by the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD), the Golden Arrow Awards honor publicly listed companies across the Philippines that demonstrate outstanding performance in the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard. This regional assessment evaluates how well companies adhere to established governance standards throughout Southeast Asia.

The award underscores Meralco’s ongoing efforts to reinforce its governance systems, boost transparency and accountability, and safeguard the interests of all its stakeholders. Being consistently recognized at the Golden Arrow Awards over the years stands as clear proof of the company’s unwavering dedication to responsible business operations and sound governance practices.

As Meralco moves forward in meeting its business and sustainability goals, it remains firmly guided by the core values of integrity, fairness, and accountability. These principles shape its daily operations and key decisions, reinforcing its promise to create lasting value for its shareholders, customers, employees, and the communities it serves.
