Globe has grown its hybrid and electric vehicle pool to 570 units as of August 2026, part of broader energy‑efficiency moves to advance its net‑zero goals. The telco plans to boost its all‑electric company fleet to 500 vehicles by 2028, and has installed EV charging stations across five buildings to support the shift. It uses a USD 20‑per‑tonne shadow internal carbon price to guide investments toward low‑carbon options like energy‑saving air‑conditioners and clean transport. These efforts have yielded a 15 percent cut in Scope 1 and 2 emissions and a 9.5 percent drop in Scope 3 emissions — both well above initial targets. Cleaner staff shuttles also mean less vehicle emissions for commuters, while Globe builds more cost‑resilient operations that back the Philippines’ Paris Agreement climate commitments.
