OKADA PLAY tops P100M monthly gaming revenue

OKADA PLAY, the online gaming platform of Okada Manila, generated more than P100 million in gross gaming revenue (GGR) in October, crossing the milestone six months after its launch as digital expansion gathers pace for its operator and technology partner, PhilWeb Corp.

The platform also surpassed 100,000 daily active users during the month, marking an approximately 50-percent increase in both key performance indicators from September, Tiger Resort, Leisure and Entertainment Inc. (TRLEI) and PhilWeb said in a joint announcement.

The October performance signals a shift from the platform’s initial rollout and optimization phase to faster customer acquisition and commercial expansion, supported by a growing gaming content portfolio.

Okada Manila President and Chief Operating Officer Nobuki Sato described the results as an encouraging milestone in the integrated resort’s digital growth strategy.

Powered by PhilWeb’s online gaming platform, OKADA PLAY combines gaming technology, content aggregation, customer service, and operational support. It currently offers more than 4,000 titles from over 20 content providers.

PhilWeb Chairman Lance Y. Gokongwei said the results demonstrate the commercial potential of pairing established gaming brands with scalable technology infrastructure.

Beyond OKADA PLAY, PhilWeb expects other partner platforms to accelerate growth, with some potentially reaching P100 million in monthly GGR before year-end.

The company is also advancing a strategic investment in JKS Tech Solutions under previously announced cross-investment arrangements. These include JKS acquiring PhilWeb common shares at P16.50 apiece.

Upon completion, PhilWeb expects to recognize its proportionate share of JKS earnings, adding another potential source of income to its existing platform operations.

The company said its longer-term strategy is to build a technology infrastructure group anchored on platform growth, strategic investments, and recurring revenue, while maintaining regulatory compliance and responsible gaming standards.
