Fintech lender Skyro is strengthening its credit evaluation capabilities through access to a wider pool of borrower information, as it expands beyond purchase financing into broader consumer financial services.
The company has joined LenderLink’s Credit Intelligence Network, gaining access to real-time credit insights from participating financial institutions while contributing its own borrower data, subject to customer consent.
The network brings together more than 40 contributing ecosystems and holds over 45 million credit records. It facilitates the exchange of more than 1.5 million unique borrower records monthly, according to LenderLink.
The expanded information pool could help Skyro assess borrowers whose repayment histories and financial behavior are not fully reflected in traditional credit records or the databases of individual lenders.
Under LenderLink’s model, borrower information is shared exclusively with the requesting lender and only with the borrower’s consent.
Skyro, an Securities and Exchange Commission-registered fintech platform, has issued more than three million loans since entering the Philippine market in 2022. Following a recent brand refresh, it is broadening its services to address more everyday financing needs.
“Responsible lending starts with understanding the customer,” said Nasim Aliev, Skyro co-founder and co-CEO.
He said access to more timely and comprehensive credit information would help the company make better-informed lending decisions.
The additional data will complement Skyro’s proprietary artificial intelligence-driven credit assessment model, which combines conventional and alternative information with advanced analytics.
LenderLink co-founder and CEO Christo Georgiev said Skyro’s expanding business makes access to timely and reliable credit intelligence increasingly important.
The arrangement offers Skyro a broader view of customers’ borrowing and repayment behavior across financial products, potentially improving risk assessments as it reaches borrowers with increasingly varied financing needs.
