Republican candidate Donald Trump has been projected by American media outlets, including CNN and the Associated Press, as the likely winner of the U.S. presidential race—only the second candidate to win non-consecutive terms as president. Trump secured more than the 270 electoral votes needed to win the presidency. In addition to winning the White House, it appears the Republicans will also gain a majority in both the Senate and the House. Filipino diplomats don’t see any major changes in Philippines-US relations under a Trump administration.
