Cirtek unit recognized as top global contract manufacturer

Cirtek Holdings Philippines Corp. has announced that its subsidiary, Cirtek Advanced Technologies and Solutions Inc. (CATSI), has been recognized by American multinational semiconductor leader Analog Devices Inc. as the top contract manufacturer worldwide for its evaluation boards product line in Q4 2024. This marks a significant achievement for the Laguna-based tech firm, highlighting CATSI’s growing prominence in the global manufacturing landscape.

Analog Devices, a leader in data conversion, signal processing, and power management technologies, selected CATSI for the top spot after the company moved up from a third-place ranking in Q1 and Q2 2024, and second place in Q3. This recognition underscores CATSI’s critical role in Analog’s operations, as the evaluation boards it manufactures are essential to Analog’s efforts in marketing its analog, mixed-signal, and digital signal processing integrated circuits to electronics companies worldwide.

The evaluation boards are integral to the development of technologies that convert real-world phenomena such as light, sound, and motion into electrical signals—key applications in industries ranging from telecommunications to automotive and electric vehicles.

CATSI, a specialist in system and subsystem manufacturing, has increasingly met the demands of high-growth sectors like 5G and electric vehicles, where radio frequency evaluation boards and battery monitoring systems are in high demand. The company anticipates continued growth in these segments through 2025.

“Growth is expected to continue in 2025,” a company statement said, highlighting CATSI’s potential in key markets such as telecommunications, satellite communications, semiconductor testing, and industrial applications, including automotive and electric vehicle technologies.

Despite the recognition, Cirtek’s financial performance for the first nine months of 2024 showed a decline. Net income fell 35 percent to USD4.96 million, compared to USD7.64 million in the same period in 2023, while total revenues dropped 21 percent to USD48.5 million from USD61.2 million last year. CATSI’s revenue was particularly affected, falling by 46 percent to USD9 million, down from USD16.6 million in 2023, primarily due to lower demand in some sectors.

Despite the revenue dip, the acknowledgment from Analog Devices highlights CATSI’s growing capabilities and commercial significance in the global semiconductor manufacturing sector, especially within the high-demand fields of 5G, automotive, and electric mobility.
