Klook Philippines, in its 2025 Travel Pulse report, projected a significant uptick in domestic and international travel interest among Filipino Millennials and Gen Zs, with hotel bookings showing strong year-on-year growth. In response, the travel platform has officially partnered with Hospitality Innovators, Inc. (HII) to meet the surging demand.
Klook reported a 202 percent year-on-year increase in local hotel bookings by Filipinos and a 160 percent rise in bookings by inbound tourists, contributing to a 190 percent overall growth in hotel stays on the platform in 2024. Driving this boom are travel motivations tied to mental wellness, spontaneity around local events, and bundled booking preferences, particularly for stays offering breakfast and pool access.
To capitalize on this momentum, Klook launched exclusive experiences with HII properties, including The Sphere Serviced Residences’ Ultimate Movie Night, The Hue Hotels & Resorts Boracay’s Family Getaway, and The Picasso Boutique’s Wine & Dine package. HII, which manages 15 properties nationwide, reported a 913.7 percent increase in bookings through Klook last year.
“With travel now seen as both therapy and a lifestyle by young Filipinos, our collaboration with HII expands the hotel and bundle offerings directly aligned with current traveler preferences,” said Michelle Ho, general manager of Klook Philippines.
Social media continues to drive Filipino travel decisions, with 89 percent influenced by online trends, and platforms like TikTok showing disproportionately high engagement among Filipinos compared to regional averages. Meanwhile, AI-assisted trip planning is gaining traction, especially among Gen Z and Millennial travelers.
With priority perks like early check-in and late check-out for Klook users, the platform aims to enhance the guest experience while tapping into the evolving behaviors of experience-driven Filipino travelers.
