Originally established in the early 2000s to provide basic communication lines, the partnership has evolved into a comprehensive deployment of enterprise solutions—from broadband and wireless connectivity to Google Workspace, adopted through ePLDT, PLDT’s ICT subsidiary. These solutions are now integrated across MSU-IIT NMPC’s 22 branches, enabling seamless communication, streamlined operations, and enhanced member services.
Albert Teaño, JD, CEO of MSU-IIT NMPC, emphasized the significance of the partnership in future-proofing the cooperative’s systems: “By partnering with PLDT Enterprise, we are building a foundation of digital excellence that supports our goals for long-term, inclusive progress.”
Roberto Suzon, Business Head for Customer Relationship Business in North Mindanao at PLDT Enterprise, underscored the commercial and social value of the collaboration. “We are honored to help enable MSU-IIT NMPC’s growth journey by equipping them with reliable connectivity and digital tools that improve efficiency and support their mission of sustainable service delivery,” Suzon said.
With over 70,000 members, MSU-IIT NMPC stands as one of the largest cooperatives in Mindanao, providing vital financial and social development services. The renewed partnership not only strengthens its operational capacity but also advances PLDT’s commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 9—promoting innovation and infrastructure through digital inclusion.
This engagement highlights the corporate and commercial importance of digital partnerships in empowering regional institutions, expanding service reach, and fostering socio-economic growth in underserved areas.
