Pilmico Foods Corp., the food and agribusiness arm of Aboitiz Foods, has received two major industry accolades, reinforcing its reputation for excellence in workplace safety and Halal compliance within the Philippine food manufacturing sector.
Its Feeds operations in Iligan were recognized by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Region 10 during the 2025 World Day for Safety and Health at Work in Cagayan de Oro City.
The plant was cited for achieving 2.6 million safe man-hours without any lost time incidents—an achievement attributed to proactive safety measures, frequent employee training, and stringent health standards.
Separately, the Islamic Da’wah Council of the Philippines (IDCP) honored Pilmico’s Flour Mill Division as a Halal-Compliant Company—a reaffirmation of its status as the first Halal-certified flour producer in the Philippines, a certification it has upheld since 2009. The award was given during the World Halal Forum and Gala Dinner held in Makati City.
“Our commitment to operational excellence and inclusivity guides everything we do,” said Alexis Revantad, Aboitiz Foods Vice President for Iligan Site Management and Flour Operations. “These recognitions reflect the hard work, discipline, and values of our people. I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished and optimistic about our future.”
Operating since 1962, Pilmico’s Iligan plant supplies high-quality flour and animal feeds across the country. These latest honors highlight Pilmico’s ongoing commitment to quality, safety, and cultural inclusion—hallmarks of its long-standing industry leadership.
