Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Cor. (MMPC), the local unit of the Japanese car maker, has a new crown jewel for 2025.
The Mitsubishi Xpander is officially the Philippines’ No. 1 selling vehicle with total sales of 28,081 units and outpaced every other nameplate in the market this year. The seven-seater also secured its third consecutive year as the country’s best-selling multi-purpose vehicle, reinforcing its dominance in a highly competitive segment.
The achievement highlights the Xpander’s staying power in a market where practicality and value are key. Since its debut, the MPV has built a loyal following among Filipino families by combining SUV-inspired styling with everyday functionality.
MMPC credits its continued success to a balance of comfort, efficiency, and accessible pricing.
Recent upgrades have strengthened its appeal. Active Yaw Control is now available even in the base variant to improve driving stability and safety. The move makes advanced features more accessible to mainstream buyers and enhances the overall ownership experience.
“The Mitsubishi Xpander was designed with family lifestyles in mind from daily city driving to family road trips,” said MMPC president and chief executive officer Ritsu Imaeda. He emphasized that the model’s timeless design, generous cabin space, and comprehensive aftersales support make it a lifetime companion for Filipino motorists.
Built for versatility, the Xpander offers seating for seven, ample cargo room, high ground clearance, and a suspension system suited for both urban streets and provincial roads. Its fuel-efficient engine and nationwide dealer network further strengthen its appeal.
To celebrate the milestone, MMPC is offering promotional savings of up to P120,000 until March 2026, making the Xpander even more attainable and likely to maintain its lead in the market.
