Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) President and CEO TG Limcaoco shared leadership insights with the Far Eastern University community on September 30, as the bank and its foundation expanded their partnership to include broader financial education across the FEU network.
Speaking at FEU’s Unmasked Talk Series, Limcaoco told over 300 students, faculty, and officials that strong leadership rests on aspiration, inspiration, and genuine appreciation for others. He highlighted BPI’s NICE values—Nurturing, Integrity, Customer Obsession, and Excellence—and encouraged young people to innovate with purpose and keep learning.
“People will not care for a leader unless they know that leader cares for them,” Limcaoco said.
The leadership talk capped a day-long engagement under the partnership between FEU and BPI Foundation (BPIF), formalized last May. Alongside the forum, BPIF rolled out its FinEd Unboxed program, offering practical sessions on saving, debt management, insurance, investments, retirement planning, and scam prevention to more than 200 participants.
A Train-the-Trainers component will equip student and faculty volunteers to lead future sessions, while over 700 students will receive financial education booklets. FEU is BPIF’s third partner school this year and tenth since 2025. Plans are underway to expand the program to FEU Alabang, FEU Diliman, and FEU Pampanga.
“Financial inclusion becomes more meaningful when people have the knowledge and confidence to make financial decisions for themselves,” said BPIF Executive Director Reginald Andal. As of September 2026, BPIF’s financial education efforts have reached more than 55,000 individuals nationwide.
