Digital finance app GCash has partnered with Manulife Investment Management and Trust Corporation (Manulife Investments Philippines) to give Filipinos easier access to global real estate and other income-generating investments.
GCash users can now invest in four new income-paying unit investment trust funds (UITFs) through GFunds on the app. These include the Manulife Asia Pacific REIT Fund and the Manulife Global REIT Feeder Fund—the first real estate investment trust (REIT) funds available on GCash. The funds invest in property assets across Asia and worldwide.
Also available are the Manulife Global Preferred Income Fund and the Manulife Asia Dynamic Bond Feeder Fund, which aim to provide steady income and portfolio diversification through a mix of global investments.

Through these funds, Filipinos can potentially earn from global property rentals—such as hotels, condominiums, and office buildings—without needing large capital to buy property directly. Investments start at just PHP 1,000. The funds are professionally managed by Manulife Investments Philippines, which handles asset selection and strategy.
As of end-2024, Manulife Investments Philippines manages P205 billion in assets and posted P372 million in net income. Its global affiliate, Manulife Investment Management, oversees more than US$1.6 trillion in assets worldwide.
GCash’s parent firm, Mynt, said the partnership aims to help Filipinos build long-term financial security by making global investment tools more accessible. Manulife Investments Philippines added that offering its UITFs through GCash allows more Filipinos to diversify their portfolios and pursue stable income even during volatile market conditions.
With the new offering, users can invest in global real estate and other diversified assets directly within the GCash app, expanding their investment horizon beyond local markets.
