Long-term, comprehensive cybersecurity strategies took center stage at Filipinnovation, a summit hosted by Concentrix, as industry leaders warned of increasingly complex digital threats facing the Philippines.
Keynote speaker Donald Lim—who heads the Cybersecurity Council of the Philippines and leads both the Management Association of the Philippines and DITO CME Holdings—underscored the urgency of adopting a forward-looking approach. He said organizations must move beyond reactive defenses and invest in long-term resilience as threats rapidly evolve.
A fireside chat with leaders from the aviation and energy sectors reinforced this message, stressing that cyber risks now extend beyond protecting systems and data. Panelists warned that attacks can disrupt operations, erode customer trust, and even threaten national stability—elevating cybersecurity to a boardroom and policy-level priority.
Held on March 24, the summit carried the theme “Transformation: Protecting the Country’s Digital Future” and gathered stakeholders from financial services, logistics, retail, education, and communications. Discussions consistently framed cybersecurity as a critical enabler of digital transformation and sustained economic growth.
In his opening remarks, Leandro Aguirre of the Department of Information and Communications Technology emphasized stronger public-private collaboration to build a secure and resilient digital ecosystem.
The event also featured Concentrix’s CyberProtect and iX Suite, alongside insights from Genesys, with speakers urging organizations to embed cybersecurity at the core of business strategy.
