Metro Pacific Health Tech Corporation’s digital healthcare app, mWell, has introduced a new tool to help clinics manage insurance claims more easily.
Called the mWell YAKAP Claims Platform, the system is designed to reduce paperwork, minimize errors, and speed up claims processing. It aims to help healthcare providers meet requirements under PhilHealth’s upcoming Yaman ng Kalusugan Program (YAKAP), which will replace the temporary eKonsulta system. Clinics nationwide are preparing for the transition ahead of the July 1, 2026 deadline.
The new platform is part of mWell’s broader digital ecosystem, the mWell HealthSuite, which includes tools like a clinic management system to improve workflow and patient care.
mWell President and CEO Chaye Cabal-Revilla said the goal is to make healthcare more accessible and efficient for Filipinos by supporting providers with better digital tools.
The platform offers a guided system for recording patient data, consultations, and treatments, while automatically generating and submitting PhilHealth claims. It also includes security features to protect patient information.
Meanwhile, mWell recently won a Tech4Good award at the Mobile World Congress 2026, becoming the first Philippine health app recognized in that category. The award highlights its efforts to develop digital solutions that improve healthcare access and support global health goals.
