Globe rolls out 5G speed boost  for Naga City

NAGA CITY — Globe has upgraded its network here to deliver faster 5G speeds and wider coverage for all residents and visitors. The improvements support rising demand for streaming, remote work, online learning and other digital services across Camarines Sur’s largest city and Bicol’s main economic hub.

The upgrade covers 21 barangays, enabling quicker downloads, smoother video calls and more stable connections for e-commerce, digital payments and smart home solutions. “Better connectivity helps communities move forward. This upgrade supports learning, business and daily life for all Nagueños,” said Adonis Evangelista, Globe general manager for South Luzon.

The project builds on Globe’s partnership with the city government under the Digital Thumbprint Program, which promotes safe and responsible online use. Mayor Leni Robredo noted reliable connectivity is key to inclusive growth, adding Globe’s work helps build a more connected and future-ready Naga. Globe also recently supported a major regional ICT gathering to share solutions for expanding access to underserved areas.
