Clark Water has put in place a comprehensive El Niño Mitigation Plan to secure steady water supply across the Clark Freeport Zone amid prolonged dry weather. The firm is upgrading 10 existing wells, redrilling two abandoned deepwells, and developing two new ones, alongside building treatment facilities to support additional water sources. It also conducts regular well level checks, keeps critical spare parts on hand, and runs preventive maintenance to prevent service disruptions. The utility recorded a low 6 percent non-revenue water rate in the first half of 2026 through leak repairs and system improvements. Partnering with Clark Development Corporation, it has also planted over 8,300 trees across 10 hectares since 2014 to protect vital water sources. General Manager Lyn Zamora said these steps will sustain reliable service for businesses and communities even during extreme heat.
