Filipino talent had another night in the international spotlight as ABS-CBN collected three honors at the ContentAsia Awards 2026 in Bangkok, proving once again that Philippine stories can travel far beyond primetime.
ABS-CBN stars Angelica Panganiban and Vice Ganda, along with the network’s production teams, brought home awards Thursday, adding another chapter to the Philippines’ growing presence in Asia’s content scene.
Panganiban won Bronze for Best Female Lead in a TV Programme/Series Made in Asia for her performance as Jackie Carpio in ABS-CBN Studios and Prime Video’s mystery thriller “The Silent Noise.”
Directed by Onat Diaz, the 10-episode series follows a family whose world unravels after the mysterious death of a deaf boy’s teacher. Secrets surface, trust gets tested, and everyone suddenly has something to explain.
The series previously won Best Asian Content at the Global OTT Awards 2026 in South Korea.
Meanwhile, Vice Ganda and Nadine Lustre’s “Call Me Mother” took Silver for Best Feature Film or Telemovie Made in Asia.
Directed by Jun Robles Lana, the comedy-drama puts motherhood, sacrifice, and family formation under the microscope through Twinkle, a queer foster mother hoping to legally adopt her son, and Mara, his biological mother who returns to his life.
ABS-CBN Studios also won Silver for Best TV Format Adaptation (Scripted) in Asia for the Philippine version of the Korean hit “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay,” starring Anne Curtis, Joshua Garcia, and Carlo Aquino.
The series follows three wounded souls whose lives collide, forcing them to confront childhood trauma while discovering healing, acceptance, and love.
The three awards came from a field of more than 500 entries across Asia, with over 180 programs nominated in 35 categories and judged by more than 100 industry professionals.
Now in its seventh year, the ContentAsia Awards recognize standout content and talent across Asia.
For ABS-CBN, the message was simple: Filipino stories are not just ready for the world. They are already getting noticed.
