Shell, Yanson renew fuel deal for bus operations

Shell Pilipinas Corp. and the Yanson Group of Bus Companies have renewed their fuel supply agreement for the second half of 2026, securing continued fuel and fleet support for bus operations across major routes in the Philippines.

BiUnder the agreement, Shell’s Fleet Solutions business will supply fuel and mobility services to Yanson Group companies, particularly those operating in the Visayas and Mindanao.

The renewal gives Yanson continued access to Shell’s fuel supply network and fleet management support as the transport group works to maintain service reliability and manage operating requirements across its network.

Christopher Alli, country manager for Shell Fleet Solutions, said the company remains focused on helping transport operators improve efficiency and reliability as their business needs evolve.

For Yanson, dependable fuel supply is critical to keeping a large bus network running, particularly across routes where service disruptions can affect commuters and operating schedules.

Atty. Julius Entila, Yanson Group vice president for administration for Luzon and the Visayas, said reliable fuel and operational support remain important to large-scale transport operators seeking to maintain consistent services.

The companies are also looking beyond the immediate fuel arrangement. During discussions on the renewed partnership, Shell Pilipinas Vice President and General Manager for Mobility and Convenience Michael Ramolete and Yanson Group Chief Operating Officer Dr. Hernan B. Omecillo discussed developments in the transportation sector and emerging mobility technologies.

Omecillo pointed to transport technologies and mobility solutions being adopted in other markets that could eventually influence the Philippine industry.

Ramolete, meanwhile, outlined Shell’s efforts to expand its mobility offerings as transport operators and customers face changing requirements.

The renewed agreement comes as Philippine transport companies navigate evolving technology, operating costs, and mobility preferences.

For Shell, the partnership strengthens its position in the commercial mobility market. For Yanson, continued access to fuel and fleet support provides an operational base as it adapts to changes in the domestic transportation industry.
