PLDT Home brings fiber connectivity to Camotes Island

PLDT Home has expanded its fiber network to Camotes Island, delivering reliable broadband to communities across San Francisco, Poro and Tudela. Known as the “Lost Horizon of the South,” the island is a popular tourist spot famed for its beaches and natural scenery.

This move supports PLDT’s mission to bridge the digital divide nationwide. According to Menardo “Butch” Jimenez Jr., PLDT’s COO and CTO, the expansion closes critical connectivity gaps, giving islanders the infrastructure needed to fully participate in today’s digital economy.

Residents may subscribe to the Fiber Unli All 1499 plan, offering unlimited internet up to 200 Mbps. The package includes 63 Cignal channels, HBO Max Standard, unlimited landline calls, and 9GB monthly mobile data shareable with up to three family members. Reliable broadband enables students to access learning resources, supports remote work, e-commerce and online services, while boosting local business and tourism promotion efforts.

Working with local governments, PLDT Home set up information booths at key locations and employs local agents to assist residents. This initiative advances the company’s nation-building goal, extending digital benefits beyond urban centers to more Filipino communities. Interested residents may visit local booths or authorized representatives to check service availability and plan details.
