The Gokongwei Brothers Foundation (GBF) launched 10 new classrooms in Calasiao, Pangasinan and Bacolod City for its 34th anniversary, benefiting four public schools. Two classrooms each go to Nalsian-Bacayao, Bued, and San Miguel Elementary Schools; four to Emiliano Lizares Elementary.
GBF Chairman Lance Gokongwei turned over plans to DepEd Assistant Secretary Aurelio Paulo Bartolome to signal construction start. Gokongwei cited DepEd’s role in targeting needs and expanding quality education access.
Founded 1992 by the Go brothers, GBF focuses on education access, teacher development, and STEM. It has backed over 3,400 scholars, built key university facilities, and runs the Iskolar ni Juan tech-voc scholarship program for job-ready skills.
