Cebu-based property developer Oakridge Realty Development Corporation (ORDC) has broadened its partnership with the First Gen Group through a new agreement covering rooftop solar installations at its Mantlewood Town Center and the final rollout of solar facilities at Oakridge Business Park. Officials from both firms signed the deal on September 23.
Under the agreement, First Gen will install a 648-kilowatt-peak solar system at the newly opened Mantlewood Town Center and a 405-kilowatt-peak facility at Oakridge Business Park, both located in Mandaue City. Mantlewood Town Center is a 40,000-square-meter master-planned community whose first phase opened on July 30, 2026, with Robinsons Supermarket and Clinica Prime as key tenants, alongside a range of retail and dining outlets designed to serve residents and workers within a sustainable environment.
ORDC President Anne Liu noted that shifting to renewable energy at Oakridge Business Park marked a key step in cutting operational environmental impact, and extending on-site solar to Mantlewood reflects the company’s future development approach. As properties grow, ORDC aims to keep integrating cleaner energy and practical measures to lower its carbon footprint, she added. ORDC is one of the early Cebu firms to join the government’s Retail Competition Open Access program, which allows qualified consumers to source power directly from producers. Oakridge Business Park is already recognized as Cebu’s first fully renewable-powered mixed-use property through its First Gen partnership, and has also introduced electric vehicle and solar-powered mobile device charging stations.
The long-running collaboration has combined renewable energy supply with energy audits and remote monitoring to boost efficiency and cost savings. First Gen Energy Solutions Vice President Mark Malabanan stated that on-site solar strengthens ORDC’s energy security and shields it from fluctuating power costs, reaffirming First Gen’s commitment to supporting ORDC’s decarbonization goals.
ORDC serves as the real estate arm of LH Paragon Group Inc., a Cebu-based diversified holding company whose portfolio includes fashion retailer Golden ABC—owner of Penshoppe, OXGN, ForMe, Regatta and other brands—as well as wood distributor Matimco, healthcare provider Clinica Prime, and food retail firm Greentree Food Solutions under the 10 Dove Street brand.
