DPWH to award key Bataan-Cavite Interlink Bridge contract by November

The Department of Public Works and Highways will award Contract Package 6 — a critical component of the $3.91-billion Bataan-Cavite Interlink Bridge project — by November 2026.

Public Works Secretary Vince Dizon confirmed the package is now pending concurrence from co-financier, the Asian Development Bank.

Once finished, the 32-kilometer bridge will slash travel between Bataan and Cavite from 5.5 hours to just 45 minutes, create a vital direct link between Central Luzon and Calabarzon, and offer a congestion-free alternative route bypassing Metro Manila.

It will also serve as an important emergency evacuation corridor, boost trade and mobility across Luzon, and support broader economic integration and growth across the three key regions.
