The price of petroleum products rises for the ninth week in a series beginning past midnight Tuesday, 5 September.
Seaoil increased price of its gasoline by P0.50 per liter, diesel by P1.20 per liter and kerosene by P1.10 per liter.
Phoenix Petroleum and Jetti also adjusted higher by P0.50 per liter on gasoline and by P1.20 per liter on diesel.
Caltex Philippines Inc. similarly hiked the price of its Platinum and Silver gasoline brands by P0.50 per liter, its diesel by P1.20 per liter and kerosene by P1.10 per liter.
These adjustments bring the nine-week hike in gasoline prices to P9.65 for gasoline, P13.65 for diesel and P13.25 for kerosene.
The decision by the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) to extend production cuts to September and consequent tightening of crude supply helped push oil prices at the pumps higher.
In Manila, the price per liter of gasoline (RON95) stood at P74.70, diesel at P64.70 and kerosene at P80.06 as at 29 August.
Department of Energy data also show year-to-date adjustments for the same period as a net increase of P14.80 per liter for gasoline, P9.50 per liter for diesel and P6.64 per liter for kerosene.
