During Monday’s vote, 26 lawmakers voted against the impeachment resolution, while nine abstained. Duterte was impeached over allegations of unexplained wealth, betrayal of public trust, graft, and misuse of confidential funds. The vote came shortly after a change in leadership in the Senate.
