The Securities and Exchange Commission has again extended its amnesty program giving non-compliant and suspended or revoked corporations one more chance to avail of lower fines and penalties.
Shopping mall operator SM Prime Holdings Inc. said its income in the nine months to September rose 37 percent to P30.1 billion from last year’s P22 billion.
DigiPlus Interactive Corp., a listed online gaming group, said Monday its net income in the first nine months surged more than tenfold to P2.1 billion, driven by a surged in its digital retail gaming business, the launch of new game offerings, and improved cost efficiencies.
Company registration at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) hit a record high last year. It reported 42,926 corporate registrations, 13 percent higher than only 38,052in 2021, a record high in the agency’s 85-year history. In 2021, the number of company registrations jumped 67 percent as the business sector started to recover from the pandemic in 2020.
