Renewable energy trailblazer Alternergy Holdings Corp. is strengthening its position in the power industry with the launch of its retail electricity supply arm, ALTER Power RES, Inc. (ALTER Power), after securing approval from the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Enrile served several presidents, including the late Ferdinand Marcos Sr. and Corazon Aquino—both as Defense Secretary. The Senate expressed sorrow and, following tradition, suspended deliberation on the government’s 2026 budget following the passing of its former leader, a figure both vilified for his role during the Martial Law years and revered for EDSA People’s Power Revolution.

The group of businessman Manuel V. Pangilinan (MVP) confirmed it is in preliminary discussions with the Villar Group for a possible acquisition of Prime Water Infrastructure Corp., one of the country’s largest private water operators.
