The Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League has made its strongest statement yet against alleged game manipulation, throwing the Bacolod Masskara franchise out of the remainder of the 2026 season and imposing lifetime bans on players and coaches allegedly linked to the controversy.

Alternergy Holdings Corp. announced Thursday that its 128-megawatt wind facility in Tanay, Rizal, has generated electricity for the first time and fed it into the Luzon grid. The project is the first wind farm from the Department of Energy’s second Green Energy Auction to begin supplying power.

The Department of Environment and Natural Resources gathered over 200 representatives from government, finance groups, civil society, diplomatic bodies, and community forestry organizations in an investment forum held Thursday. The event aims to grow inclusive investments and strengthen cooperation for sustainable forest management.
