GCash, the mobile wallet of Globe Telecom Inc. is planning to roll out new business solutions to help online sellers and small food and beverage (F&B) owners to manage their operations efficiently.
Oscar Reyes Jr., president and chief executive of G-Xchange Inc., said the company targets to launch these new products by the first quarter of 2024.
He said the solutions will solve so-called pain points commonly reported by small business operators in the country.
GCash has six million partner merchants and social sellers as well as more than 1,600 partner billers across the country at the moment.
To empower local businesses and help them achieve commercial success, GCash for Business recently held the “Experience Easy” business summit to provide Philippine companies of all sizes much-needed business solutions to an increasingly demanding local market.
“Customers have their own point of view of what they expect from brands they interact with, and they’re not shy about letting everyone know. This forces businesses to face two realities: they can learn directly from their customers what they need, but they can also be immediately called out for unfavorable service,” said Kate Cruz, head of B2B marketing.
“As a finance super app with millions of users, GCash is uniquely positioned to know exactly what Filipinos want to help businesses create enjoyable and relevant experiences for their customers at every touchpoint,” she added.
Aside from providing digital financial tools for enterprise clients, GCash also offers partner marketing solutions to businesses, both big and small, by leveraging the app’s massive reach.
GCash is more focused at this point on how it can help in the digital transformation of nano, micro, small, and medium enterprises (NMSME) with a suite of innovative business solutions.
GCash is the Philippines’ only double unicorn or duacorn with a valuation of over $2 billion. It has evolved beyond its core money transfer business – offering other financial services such as fair lending, investment, insurance, cryptocurrencies, and other lifestyle services.
