Cebu Landmasters, Inc. on Friday solidified its foothold of the Visayas and Mindanao tourism market with the inauguration of Citadines Bacolod City, the listed property developer’s maiden hotel venture outside Cebu City and the largest international hotel in Bacolod.
Buoyed by the burgeoning tourism industry in the Visayas and Mindanao, CLI anticipates substantial gains, with plans to build six additional hotels within the next two years.
CLI chairman and CEO Jose Soberano III expressed optimism about the trajectory of their hospitality business, citing a 37 percent year-on-year revenue surge in the first quarter of 2024. The debut of Citadines Bacolod City, coupled with CLI’s three operational hotels in Cebu, is poised to bolster earnings.
Operated by The Ascott Limited, Citadines Bacolod City is a P2-billion project by CCLI Premier Hotels, a joint venture between CLI and Capitaine Inc., spearheaded by its president, Alec Lustre.
Mathias Bergundthal, director of assets at CLI Hotels and Resorts, said the new Bacolod City hotel has extensive offerings, including five amenity areas, five food and beverage outlets, a business lounge, and conference facilities. Citadines Bacolod City has a 1,000-square meter convention center with a pillarless ballroom capable of accommodating up to 650 guests for corporate or non-commercial gatherings, he added.
The hotel is located close to the Bacolod-Silay airport, the North Bus Terminal, and major tourist attractions that enhances its appeal to both business and leisure travelers.
Citadines Bacolod City offers introductory rates to celebrate its opening plus discounts in its various food and beverage outlets.
With Citadines Paragon Davao and Radisson Red slated for completion by the end of 2024, CLI is on track to significantly expand its hospitality portfolio. Other ongoing projects are Sofitel Cebu City, Abaca Resort Mactan, Mercure Cebu Downtown, and Magspeak Mountain Resort & Villas.
