Mining firm Marcventures elects Augusto Serafica as new president

Marcventures Holdings Inc., a mining and resource development company, said Tuesday that Augusto Antonio C. Serafica, Jr. has been elected as the new president of the company, marking a significant transition in leadership at the helm of the listed firm.

Serafica, who has served as the chairman of Marcventure’s investment committee and as a director since 2013, played a key role in developing the company’s nickel business since its inception in 2008. His deep involvement in the strategic development of Marcventure’s core business areas positions him as a well-suited leader for the role of president.

Aside from being the top man at Marcventure, Serafica is also the president and director of Bright Kindle Resources, Inc., and Armstrong Capital Holdings Corp., respectively. He has an extensive background in investment banking, including previous positions as managing director at Asian Alliance Investment Corp. and Asian Alliance Holdings & Development Corp.

Serafica is a trustee of the Asian Institute of Management Scientific Research Foundation. He is a certified public accountant with a Bachelor of Commerce in Accountancy degree from San Beda College and has completed a Masters in Business Management from AIM.

As president, Serafica will oversee Marcventure’s strategic initiatives and partnership development efforts. The company operates through four subsidiaries: Marcventures Mining & Development Corp., BrightGreen Resources Corp., Alumina Mining Philippines Inc., and Bauxite Resources Inc.
