    CebPac projects 1M passengers for Undas holidays

    Cebu Pacific on Tuesday announced preparations to welcome around one million passengers booking flights for the upcoming Undas holidays. The airline traced the projected traveler surge to new routes and increased aircraft capacity.

    “With the addition of new routes and enhanced capacity, we expect a significant increase in passenger numbers this year. The most popular destinations are Cebu, Hong Kong, Iloilo, Davao, and Boracay,” the airline said.

    Cebu Pacific also expects improved performance during the long Christmas and New Year celebrations also seen driven higher by the opening of new routes. The airline operates an extensive network of 35 domestic and 26 international destinations across Asia, Australia, and the Middle East.

    In its financial report in the first six months this year, Cebu Pacific reported net income of P3.54 billion, slightly down from P3.74 billion last year. But it generated revenues 18.1 percent higher totaling P51.439 billion compared to only P43.55 billion the previous year. The airline is one of the world’s youngest fleets flying a mix of nine Airbus 330s, 40 Airbus 320s, 23 Airbus 321s, and 15 ATR turboprop aircraft that enhances its network operations in the Philippines.
