A recent Pulse Asia survey commissioned by the Stratbase Group reveals that a majority of Filipinos believe the private sector significantly contributes to expanding livelihood opportunities and making goods more affordable.
Conducted between 6 and 13 September with 1,200 respondents and a ±3 margin of error, the survey found that 52 percent of respondents view the private sector as instrumental in creating job opportunities, while 51 percent believe it helps make products accessible.
Stratbase Group CEO Professor Victor Andres “Dindo” Manhit emphasized the private sector’s critical role in economic progress, stating that collaboration with the government is essential for sustained growth. “The government sets the direction, while the private sector brings in capital and innovation,” he explained.
To further this collaboration, Stratbase will host the Pilipinas Conference 2024 on 6 and 7 November in Makati City, bringing together top government officials and business leaders to discuss strategies for economic resilience and job creation.
The Stratbase Group, Manhit said, is committed to facilitating dialogues helping shape the nation’s future, aiming to elevate the Philippines in the global economy.
