This is South Korea’s first martial law declaration since the end of military dictatorship in the 1980s. While the full impact remains unclear, the decree is likely to hurt SoK’s financial outlook, with the won already weak versus the U.S. dollar. SK is a major tourism market and source of ODAs for the Philippines.
