Kaspersky expands security awareness platform with new cybersecurity courses

Kaspersky has added three specialized courses to its Automated Security Awareness Platform (Kaspersky ASAP), focusing on high-priority cybersecurity risks impacting organizations today. These new offerings address the increasing sophistication of cyberattacks, particularly in sectors like healthcare, supply chains, and executive leadership.

With cyberattacks rising, certain threats are becoming more common and dangerous. Kaspersky highlights how cybercriminals are increasingly targeting healthcare organizations, supply chains, and high-level business executives to gain access to sensitive data. The company’s new courses aim to equip employees with essential knowledge and practical skills to better defend against these growing threats.

The first course, “Attacks on Top Managers: Whaling and Its Impact,” tackles advanced phishing targeting executives. By impersonating top-level managers, attackers exploit their authority to access confidential information. The course helps both executives and employees identify and resist these high-risk attacks.

The second course, “Information Security in Healthcare,” addresses cybersecurity challenges in the medical sector, where the stakes are particularly high. Beyond protecting data, the course ensures healthcare professionals understand the importance of secure medical data handling to safeguard both patient safety and legal compliance.

Lastly, the “Supply Chain Attacks” course focuses on the increasing risks from external vendors and partners. By embedding malicious code or exploiting vulnerabilities in third-party systems, attackers can bypass internal defenses. This course provides organizations with actionable strategies to protect their interconnected networks.

Kaspersky emphasizes that strengthening employees’ cybersecurity awareness is crucial for an organization’s defense strategy. As the cybersecurity landscape evolves, these new courses are part of Kaspersky’s ongoing commitment to improving resilience against cyber threats.
