PAL launches Manila-Cauayan flights, boosting tourism and business in Isabela

Philippine Airlines (PAL) has launched the Manila-Cauayan-Manila route, marking a major step towards enhancing connectivity and boosting tourism in Isabela province in northern Philippines. This daily service aims to significantly reduce travel time, offering passengers a quick alternative to the previous 10-hour land journey between Manila and Cauayan City.

The new flights are expected to drive a surge in both leisure and business travel, with tourists flocking to experience Isabela’s vibrant festivals, including the renowned Bambanti and Gawagaway-yan events. These annual celebrations, known for their colorful traditions and cultural displays, have long drawn visitors from across the country, and now, the new route is set to make accessing these attractions more convenient for travelers.

PAL Express president Rabbi Vincent Ang expressed enthusiasm about the new route’s potential to stimulate economic growth in Northern Luzon. “We are pleased to introduce our new Manila-Cauayan-Manila route to serve the residents of Isabela province. At Philippine Airlines, we are proud to contribute to the economic progress of this region and look forward to collaborating with local government and community stakeholders to build up tourism, business, and greater connectivity for the benefit of all Filipinos.”

The addition of the new flight service is expected to have a transformative impact on the local economy by providing easier access for tourists, businesspeople, and families. Cauayan City mayor Caesar Dy, Jr. emphasized the strategic importance of the new route, calling Cauayan a “jump point of tourism” in the Northern East of the Philippines.

With its emphasis on enhancing tourism infrastructure and improving accessibility, PAL’s new route is poised to play a key role in stimulating the region’s commercial and tourism sectors, further solidifying the province as an important hub in Northern Luzon.
