DigiPlus reports triple income growth, expands gaming portfolio

Online gaming firm DigiPlus Interactive Corp. reported a surge in profitability in 2024, its income tripling to P12.6 billion, up from P4.09 billion the previous year. The growth was driven by the sustained momentum of its retail gaming segment, the successful launch of new live streamed games, and the expansion of its diverse gaming portfolio.

DigiPlus also reported an increase in total revenue, which more than doubled to P75.2 billion from P27.25 billion in 2023. The company’s fourth-quarter performance saw net income rising 93 percent to P3.8 billion as revenue soared to P23.7 billion.

A key factor in its success was the introduction of culturally resonant games, including the innovative Filipino live streamed game Pinoy Drop Ball launched in September 2024. This homegrown game, inspired by traditional perya games, modernizes the local fiesta experience for mobile players, marking an industry-first.

Further contributing to its strong performance, DigiPlus emphasized the positive impact of harmonized regulatory fees, which fostered a more stable environment for long-term growth. The company reported over 40 million registered users across its platforms by year-end.

Beyond business performance, DigiPlus highlighted its contribution to national development with P33.7 billion in taxes and regulatory fees paid in 2024 and a P100 million donation to social causes through the BingoPlus Foundation, benefiting nearly 120,000 Filipinos in sectors like healthcare, education, and disaster resilience.

The company’s board also approved a cash dividend of P0.86 per outstanding common share, payable on 4 April to stockholders of record as of 24 March this year.
