Pancit Malabon lands spot in Guinness World Record

Malabon City has triumphed in its bold quest to place the iconic Pancit Malabon on the global stage.

On Friday, March 21, Guinness World Records adjudicator Sonia Ushirogochi officially confirmed that Malabon City has surpassed China to claim the title for the Longest Line of Bowls of Noodles.

In a remarkable feat, the city lined up a staggering 6,549 bowls of Pancit Malabon, shattering the previous record of 3,988 bowls held by China. The goal was set at 6,000 bowls, but Malabon went above and beyond. To ensure the attempt was recognized, each bowl had to be placed side by side with no gaps between them, contain at least 100 grams of the noodle dish, and be presented cleanly and aesthetically.

Malabon City Mayor Jeannie Sandoval had the honor of placing the final bowls, cementing the city’s place in history with a new Guinness World Record.

Pancit Malabon, a rich and savory noodle dish, shares similarities with Pancit Palabok but stands apart with its distinctive seafood toppings and thick, hearty rice noodles.
